Who Am I?

Cris

My name is Cris.  I live in Youngstown, Ohio with my husband of 26 years and three (newly adult) children. I am the creator of AddALittleAdventure.com. 

Way back in 2004, when my kids were little, I was working as an attorney in Virginia. I decided I wanted to find a way to spend more time with my family while still being able to make a good income.  Lifestyle was important to me.  I felt like I was missing a lot at home with my kids because I was working long hours.

So, I quit my job and moved to Ohio to be closer to family, and where the cost of living was much less.

Shortly after quitting my job, I started an e-commerce store selling personalized party favors. My husband and I still run that store to this day. We design most of the favors on the site and support our family of 5 with the income from the store.

What you will find at Add A Little Adventure

Working from home with kids over the years, I began looking for ways to improve my productivity, time management, organization, and other skills to help me with both work and home.  I loved discovering things that would make my life easier. I also look for ways to stay motivated and inspired.

I’m sharing all the different ideas I’ve discovered along the way.  Any helpful tips or tricks that might benefit someone else, I want to share!  I also started creating printables to keep myself organized and motivated. I share many of these printables for others to use throughout this site.

In addition to all of the organizational printables, I create party printables and decorations. With three kids and many different celebrations to decorate for, I have accumulated a lot! This fits naturally with our online store as I was creating similar things for the past 19 years.

People started asking me where I got them, so I started adding them to this site in the DIY Decorations category, the games & activities category, and throughout the various holiday categories.

Eventually, the printables started to become the main focus of the site. I love creating them and sharing them with others both for free and in the shop. You can find printables for many different holidays and occasions that will make your life easier and save you money.
